Scottish singer-songwriter-slash-producer-slash-DJ Calvin Harris has rebounded from his Twitter spat with Katy Perry by hooking up (musically speaking) with Kelis. He’s reportedly been in Las Vegas shooting the video for their as-yet-untitled collaboration. Metro.co.uk has the scoop:
The Scottish DJ had a public row with Firework singer Katy Perry after he pulled out of supporting her UK tour.
‘FYI ALL UK & IRELAND RELATED SHOWS @CalvinHarris will NOT be joining in on the fun and has CANCELLED last minute,’ announced Perry ahead of her Dublin show last Monday.
According to Harris, who toured with Rihanna in Australia earlier this year, the gig was made impossible by Perry’s people who ‘suddenly moved the goalposts’.
‘I was to appear on stage with no production,’ he tweeted in response to Perry, telling fans: ‘It would have looked sh*t, sounded sh*t – trust me you would have been more disappointed SEEING the show than u are with me cancelling.’
But now Harris, 27, is collaborating with Milkshake diva Kelis and has been shooting a video for the release in US gambling capital Las Vegas.
Yesterday he uploaded a twitpic of the shoot and tweeted: ‘That’s me finally in Las Vegas…shooting a video tomorrow for a song i’ve done featuring KELIS!!! The next single… Exciting!’
