Week of October 1

MARK RONSON
Wednesday October 3 & Saturday October 6
Equally accomplished as a producer, DJ and solo artist, MARK RONSON has established a reputation as one of pop’s most influential tastemakers. Born in London, he grew up with Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones as his stepdad. As a college student in New York, he established himself as one of the most respected DJs on the local club scene. From there, he branched out into producing for the likes of Macy Gray, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Lily Allen, Ghostface Killah, Duran Duran, Adele and — most memorably — for Amy Winehouse on the Grammy Award-winning Back to Black. Somewhere in there he has also found time to record three guest-star-studded solo albums (2010’s Record Collection is the most recent) and to be voted most stylish man in the UK by GQ magazine. In this edition of 360 Sessions, he takes the viewer on a guided tour of the New York City locations that inspired his DJ career, offers a rare insider’s glimpse of his Williamsburg recording studio, and performs some of his favourite tracks at London’s Brixton Academy.
